I made a steel spool with an overdrive pully and a set of steel out drives JB Welded. Works great.

The only Losi spool parts are the sand paper pads, which you can use for either steel or plastic outdrives.

I have a bunch of the new beefed-up and old losi rear hubs. Will mixing and matching them on my car result in any handling problems?(they are all the same offset, of course) I was under the assumption that the arm angle remains the same and therefore droop remains the same, but I would like confirmation.
Also-Which one should I measure droop to?

No. One of 'em is longer or shorter than the other.

that is correct in some ways, the outdrives on the TC3 are smaller than the outdrives on the XXX-S, they may work with some major mods however you should justt replace it with the Losii part

I'm not sure if that's going to change anything or not. As long as they are the same offset and the same toe angle I don't see why it would. But I'd personally just ditch the old ones and replace them with the graphite ones.

if you run the old hubsthat are not beefedupyou will have a higher percentage of them breaking, it would be an advantage to you to go ahead and buy some new ones, you will be suprised, Losi doesn't beef something up just for the heck of it

for everyone who will use MF low roll center pivot mounts in the rear, you will have to add some extra shims for there to be no play, just thought you would like to know because I tried to mount mine and every time I would hit the throttle my arms would twitch from front to back, and I had to find some extra shims

The old ones I'm talking about are the original graphite rear hubs. They sit flush to the arm and aren't reinforced in the hingepin area.
But, the new ones, since they are reinforced, hang under the arm, so won't that mean that the droop readings will be off? I noticed that when measured from the revised hub, I had a good 2 degrees less(numerical) droop than the arm.
Just wondering...

I'm pretty sure any of the setup sheets you reed are for the revised hubs so I'd say go with the measurement from that, check the shock length for that droop setting and make both sides equal.
