[QUOTE=gruman28;8338827]Getting a photon from the wife for xmas. Getting rid of some of my xray parts. Wondering will xray shock springs fit on photon shocks? I have a ton of them and wondering if I should keep them.

yes they fit,i did the same (kept my xray springs) initially. mine were the later model black ones not the coloured verion but in saying that the photon kit springs are very good also as well as the hpi tc spring kit (which i tend to use more often now)hope this helps

I have the older springs (rainbow of colors). If they will work, I will keep them. I spent a lot on them and wont get much for them.

Thanks,
Chris

yes - they fit.
the TOP springs are really inexpensive though... and the majority of setups posted will probably include the use of TOP springs.

Good news, I was wondering if TOP would do the rears in steel soon.

More interesting is the new version kit I see out today, listed as LiPo spec, and $20 under the new TC6, I had a feeling TOP would do something like that once the TC6 came out with such a low price.

At the price of the new kit, I'd be tempted to buy a second new kit early next year, I really do like the Photon.
(Anyone want to buy my spare NiMh chassis, it's unlikely I'll ever use it. )

I tried to use my old X-ray springs and they would NOT fit. I couldnt get down to ride height.
