Just had a look at the kingpins on my car, and there is probably a bit of room to drop them around a mm or so... gives options for outer link height position on the front I guess!

I think the shock mounts are thicker to ensure the new shock mount holes don't strip. Nowt to do with flex

Just wanted to post the setup I ran at IIC this last week. The car was very good all week and works well on lower bite carpet as well. If you have any questions let me know...

Hi Art -

Did you use the standard front arms or the EVO5 arms?

The Evo5 arms have different holes that change the wheel rates. On carpet, the Evo5 arms will have 'softer' feel - especially in high bite.

So how many of you guys will be switching over to the 2012 417? I've been loving my regular 417, wondering if the new changes will be good on all tracks..

I've already cut the top deck and the motor mount, so, I may be interested about buying the new lower deck, but not the entire car.

I hope they sell an upgrade kit for regular 417's as I just purchased one a month ago.
