Team Losi JRXS Type-R

I switched to the standard link for I found the JR a PITA to adjust.

I'm running what ships with the kit (2 degrees on the inside pivot pin and 1 degree on the outside hub). I bought zero degree hubs to reduce the total to 2 degrees on the same order that I bought the rear wide hexes. I tried the hexes first and they worked so well, I never got around to trying the hubs.

Thinking about getting a JRXS Type R for asphalt/rubber racing. Been reading the threads and will eventually go Lipos and brushless. What parts do you recommend for this type of racing in terms of spares and hopups? Everywhere that I had read said that the car was orginally designed for foam and carpet.
Also, what hex drivers and nut drivers are needed for the car?

Built might out of the box for asphalt and rubber and it runs great. I think the only "hop-ups" you will be after are those lipo's ant that BL setup!!!
For spares I would got with:
Front and Rear Arms
Hubs/carriers
definately get a spool....
just the common items that might get mashed up.....if you do get a new kit you might be better off to go ahead and switch the front arms out, as the first ones were a little on the weak side.

4 degree 6 would be for tighter more technical tracks

You remove the setscrew that forms the link in the JR setup. You then trim about .05 - .075 inch off of the ballcup. Now you thread in your titanium turnbuckle(same as the rear turnbuckle). Put it all together and you have what Losi should have come up with in the first place. I'll get a picture of mine for you in a little bit.

Bingo! I looked a while for it and didn't find it. It's been awesome.
Anybody tried the 41T spool with rubbers on carpet? I'm gonna try it next. I'm preparing for war next fall. Car is getting good, just needs a little steering getting in with a little surer feel in the center. Our carpet over the summer is never the best, but I need to add a few feathers to my hat in tuning this thing.
