I've used Maxamps lipos for the 1/18th scale for 2 years and never balanced them, the only way I did damage one was by leaving it plugged in over the week after racing.

I wish I could be Kevin, during the last 2 years in the summer everyone went nitro racing, on and off road. I spent every weekend last summer getting the track ready for racing, with nobody showing....
