Tamiya Championship Series

I have it and the NSX Concept. They look very similar and to me they felt the same as well..
however... the NSX Concept is not as tall and can be mounted lower... I can go down one hole on the mounting posts.
I've offered it up for test drives many a saturday, but nobody wants it. because it doesn't say "NSX" maybe? or... because I don't have TA05 mounting holes... I've even offered free ream jobs... oh that came out wrong..

"This is new for 2015, but not new news. There's a new NSX and the older NSX body sets are not readily available anymore (discontinued)."
In addition, there is no reason to bring up HPI bodies. The TCS series has never allowed for the use of non-Tamiya bodies.

For carpet events, I'm happy with these:

I already answered this question in response to someone else's question on the 2015 TCS rules:
"This is new for 2015, but not new news. There's a new NSX and the older NSX body sets are not readily available anymore (discontinued)."
In addition, there is no reason to bring up HPI bodies. The TCS series has never allowed for the use of non-Tamiya bodies.

Also, I was asking about the hip body for another reason, not to run tcs. I know tcs is tamiya body only, I'm not stupid.
I run usgt and I'm wondering why in tcs the bodies are illegal and was wondering what the reason is. For example do they out perform all other bodies due to low profile or what? The hip nsr looks similar that's why I brought it up if you must know.

This did not answer my question as to why they are illegal? Just because they are not available doesn't mean I can't find one somewhere or have an old one. So why does the rule state you can no longer run them, is it purely because they are no longer available?

Therefore, all other versions of "Tamiya NSX bodies" are not readily available, and no longer allowed for use in the "Tamiya USA TCS Series"
This isn't to say older Tamiya NSX bodies cannot be found anywhere, they just are not available to all, performance aside, that is reason enough
Your question about an "HPI body" is confusing at the very least, when asked on a Tamiya TCS forum ?
So why exactly is the is 2007 and earlier nsx body banned? And does this go for the tamiya bodies as well as the hpi body?
Someone else can attempt to field that question

Because Tamiya bodies are expensive some people don't run a regional race when bodies like the older NSX bodies are eliminated. There are racers that run Tamiya cars all the time, and have old bodies around. They would run a regional, but they are not going to go out and buy a new body for one race.

Maybe some day there will be a vintage tcs race and the NSXs can come back out and enjoy the sun.

Any guess as to Tamiya selling sedan tires at the track tomorrow?
