from my experience, the 24t pully has much more even tire wear. but the 23t pully is faster (do not know the specifics as to why, but i get faster lap times with teh 23t pully--- i did numerous tests in qualifiers and compared the two). i run a 2mm split with the 23t pully. if you do not, after 8-9 minutes of driving, you will have smaller rear tires than front tires. 2mm split i have found to be perfect with the 23t pully.

i too run 2mm split. i also find that anything bigger than 57mm-59mm will adversely affect the handling of the car (well my car anyway). 55-57 works real good.

wow, you must run on a very very flat track with awesome (or very new) asphalt?

HELLO GUYS

Buy running the RRR with so small diameter tires to start. With
a 2mm split. What is the ride height that you guys are starting
out with? what compound?
And i would like to know what's your tire wear is like?

everything that you asked is very dependent on the track you are running on. if you are running on a smooth track, very good asphault (newer and the grade is good, like tennis court grade), then you can run the car low. maybe 3.0 in front and 3.5 in rear height. there will be less tire wear so mabye 56 in front and 58 in rear tire size. if the track is this smooth and the aspault is this good, i would use 40 or maybe 42 shore tires. now if the asphault is not as good, maybe even a little dirty, you will get more tire wear. thus you have to run your tires bigger, maybe start them at 61 in rear and 59 in front. also, if the track has any bumby spots, or just is not completely smooth, you have to run your car higher. maybe 5 in front and 5.5mm in rear height. you would want to run 37 shore tire. also, remember, the worse the traction on the track, the greater the tire wear will be--- so this is a good thing to consider when choosing your tire size and ride height. and the smoothness of the track is another facter. i hope this helps.

Default My Track

Hey Joe

My track here is smooth but bumpy. I use 35 shore all around.
with split and without split. Ride height front 6mm and rear 7mm.
When i use 37 shore or 40 shore my car slides to much.
Those are the shores that i would like to use but i just cant seem to get it right. So i stay with 35s
Also i get tons of traction on and off power. Ive tried diffrent springs/oils and shock positions. Whats my problem?
I drive very hard and deep as i can into the hole with my car.
But there is no way i can do that with 37 or 40s.
So you must know my tire wear is bad when it comes to a
30 or 45min main. Ive lost lots of races because of this.

Yea, revelation is pretty smooth. Being in LA the tracks does not take as much beating from the weather (except this year that is).

The track here is smooth VHT prepared. We mostly run 42 front and rear and tire wear is minimum when traction is good.

have you tried using more tow in in the rear. i do not know what you use now, but maybe go to 4 degrees. maybe even lower your droop settings. for a high traction track i use higher droop settings. but for a lower traction track use lower settings. try running 5.5 in front and six in rear (for ride height), 2 degrees camber in front, 4 degrees camber in rear, 1 tow out in front, 4 tow in rear, and a light diff oil---- 10,000. do not use the 30,000 that comes with the kit. also, try 0 droop in front and 4 in rear. if you already using this, try -1 droop in front and 3 in rear. then use 37 shore tire. with a lower shore tire you get much better traction. but you compromise in speed. a harder tire will run faster. that's my 2 cents, i hope it helps.

I can't say for sure. It's not just the track but driving style as well. Maybe the best answer is just try to be smooth and not push so hard. You'd be surprised that your lap time might decrease even though you feel that you are being slower.

I do run on a different track in Taiwan. Smooth flowing but no VHT. At this track, 37 and 40 seems to work best. But aside from the tires, my 2 car setup is pretty similar. I use the kit spring (black front gold rear) but I have less toe in in the rear (as little as 1 degree). Shock oil depends on traction. I would run thicker oil (up tp 800) when traction is good and as thin as 400 otherwise.
