Default tao 5 hop ups

as far as hop up parts go if you are planning running a brushless motor go with the blue belts the are more durable.also the alum steering system, sway bars, springs and toe blocks.if money is no object the trow the whole tao 5 part bin at it,and have fun

You really don't need to add all those hop-ups. I would suggest a oneway and a sway bar set. That's about it. I purchased the carbon LW chassis, only because I didn't know any better at the time. I've since added the CF batt. strap for a little bling, but it adds nothing to performance. I use the stock shocks and springs (which work great by the way) and the sway bars. I'll take the pepsi challenge any day of the week against the trf shocks. Good luck--Al

OOOPS!! I just realized you guys are talking about brushless....Take his advice!! Sorry--Al

I don't see what alloy steering has to do with brushless running. Also, except for the belts, and maybe the alloy diff outdrives (depending on how powerful your planning on going with the brushless), I don't see why brushless running with the TA05 requires anymore hop ups than regular 19t or mod brushed running.

Sway bars and springs are pretty standard stuff, but i would stay away from all that alloy stuff whether running brushed or brushless. Other than the bling factor, it doesn't do much for the car.

Agree. It should atleast be a trf or an R version for that price!

Double deck carbon chassis, front/rear ball diffs and centre gear diff. The spec is getting up there

Forgot to mention the the front/rear/centre aluminium bulkheads, and short reversible suspension front and rear

Or, possibly it's the arms holding both sides of the spur that are suspended...

Not sure why they didn't do this for the blue one they just released, save a little more than 4g...

Thanks guys, I took your advice and ordered a spring set, stabilizer bars set, and blue belts. I'm keepingthe tub chassis because I want to run it in the street and parking lots, so scratching it wont make me if it was a graphite plate I would

you gotta get the aluminum diff halves or the reinforced plastic ones with the rings on them. I broke the stock rear diff with a mabuchi motor.

I'm sure the 3racing will be lighter. The chassis plate itself has been lightened plus you don't use the Tamiya chassis braces (heavy) with the 3racing kit. How much of a difference i don't know
