I don't see the Porsche as being a TA-05 Pro, it mentions a centre diff for starters...... still, I might be tempted.

What chassis would save the most weight and how much weight it will save. the 3racing CF chassis or the tamiya graphite tub chassis.

Thanks

I love the way my Lexus shell handles, I can't wait for the 934 to come out. I'm sure it will be perfect for a shelf queen. I'll give it a few laps just to see the down force.

I can't see it being the 'pro' version, not with a central diff, it is a commemorative car.

Tom's SC430 and the FXX seem to be just releases of the regular TA05 chassis.. since the Porche is a commemorative release for their 30th Anniversary, I think this chassis setup will just be for a limited time..

Just looking at the description, "Special Chassis based on the TA05" with a 230mm wheelbase, I think it'll be a one-off.. they may use the carbon deck in a release for the future, but for now they just wanted to make it really special with CF and aluminum bulkheads..

Being with no other hop-ups, I doubt they intend this to be their R or Pro version..

For that price, you might as well get a 415MRE to race in GT1, but with the CF, aluminum bulkheads and motor mount it'll look pretty sweet..

Cantilever spur shaft?? Looks like they REALLY want to shave off that extra aluminum in the middle..

Well just got back from racing and I broke off the top king pin, I think it is that, that holds the front right arm together. I could turn left like normal but right turn was impossible. I hope I can pull this broken bit out of my 3 racing alloy bit. GRR!!!

use the stock plastic parts on the suspension, alloy is just too harsh.

carbon fiber double deck means its like the 415MSX MRE and EvoV platform. carbon fiber lower deck, and carbon fiber upper deck.

i have no clue what the cantilever center shaft means.

My only guess would be that they eliminated the right side portion of the center bulkhead/motor mount so that the center shaft is only hanging from one side. That would require some way of keeping the shaft from sliding out and probably adding a second bearing to the left side to keep the spur from wobbling.

I just ordered a NSX TA05, I plan on sticking a set of TRF shocks, and universals right away. Are there any other must have hop-ups I'm forgetting? I plan on running a lipo, with sphere brushless. This will be mainly for just normal running and maybe a race every now and then with this.
