I just like to have a heavy duty diff screw one that want brake. The diff want stay tight and when I try to tighten it down the screw brakes.

I am impressed with the amount of steering this car as,I going to install the 6 degree c hubs to take some out.Other than my diff problems I am pleased with the car.

Put a 0.5mm washer under the diff nut and you shouldn't break anymore diff screws . Used a drop of "Lockite" in the diff nut thread during assembly and tighten diff screw and it should not loosen .

Not stock (ie.some people may have modified it to fit, but not recommended). You need (same part # in the US):

Also to all Cyclone drivers...did you guys see:

Are you using the HB # 61089 Titanium diff screws? (Gold in color?)

I am hoping to get some help from you guys about a Cyclone setup on cs27's and 13.5 BL on Carpet.

I am loving the low speed steering but it carries no corner speed it's more of a point and shoot car at the moment.

Std chassis towers and top deck.

I like this car but I need a good starting point.

There is no stock rubber carpet setups on the HB E.U. site that I can find.

Any help is appreciated.

I just picked-up a Cyclone for some carpet rubber-tire racing - and eventually for some outdoor racing as well. What are the common parts that I should keep in my pit box. Someone mentioned that c-hubs tend to break a little easier then with some of the other chassis' out there... aside from having a couple arms and hubs, anything else?

Looking forward to trying to car out. Looks like there is tons of support out there for this car.

Here's a set-up for high-bite carpet with CS-27's.

Havent seen much here about rubber carpet setups, what are you using upfront? Have you tried using a ball diff?

Thanks for the help.

I have raced with a one way up front for two years now. I am comfortable with them and like the acceleration I get with them.

I'll try the below setup sheet.

Thanks guys.

You said you used a 0 degree block on the front with 1 mm spacers under the blocks. I've tried that with my Cyclone and it just won't work. The arms rub against the bulkheads.... not to mention the steering turnbuckles hitting the FR pivot. Most setups I've seen that have raised the front blocks are using the 2.5 degree. That I could possibly see because it would move the arms a little away from the bulkhead. How did you get yours to work.... any modifications?

Ok I'm quoting myself maybe just to remind everyone of my situation. I have figured out part of the problem with raising the blocks. The "S" plastic blocks are prespaced so when I try and raise them the are hitting the bulkheads. I have had the 3racing FR and RF but now also have the degree blocks from 3racing as well. The tuning blocks definitely sit lower than the plastic "S" degree blocks. Now I'm wondering if the FR/RF 3 racing blocks are prespaced also because to get the arms level I need to add approx 1.25mm spacers to get the arms level (just to the degree block). Does anyone know if the HB FR/RF blocks are lower than the 3racing ones? I'm just trying to figure out these spacing issues with the blocks so I can use some of these setups properly.

If you look at the face of the cyclone s outdrives they have molding injection points on the face where the diff rings sit. Usually they sit out so you have to dig them out otherwise the diff ring doesnt sit on the outdrive properly.
