Yes usually so. In our case the tire had better forward bite off the turn but being harder it is freer through the middle of the turn. Sounds funny I know but both Bodine (Slapmaster) and I ran it with a .2-.5 reduction in laptimes. From then on I run only the DP except on track change when the dust and clag is up on the track and then I go back to Pinks for a week or 2.
After trying the new Parma 38's at 'Birds I want to try them in Pink with the new construction and see how they work also. I think they will work very similar. Unfortunately between my own business being extremely busy and my daughter being involved with Select Soccer my 12's have been gathering dust since 'Birds. Brian and I had alot of ideas to try on the car from that week.
Gadget you might also try Yellow/Black combo. Not sure but wear could be a real issue if the track is abrasive at all. If you are running t-bar try to get one of the pivot plates from Bodine also. He might have a few around. It helps alot with keeping the back planted for a full 8mins. They worked so well we had to pull them from the cars on carpet along with raising the t-bar up .7mm front and .5mm rear.
