Thanks Arno! You can download the editable setup sheet at kawada-usa.com as well!
We've posted a couple a couple 17.5 carpet setups on our website as well. I've found all the kit springs to work well in spec class, the center spring being pretty close to a TOP copper, maybe just slightly stiffer.
For front springs, Kawada has two .50mm springs. The KM17MS "Medium soft" (Black) is just slightly softer than the kit KM17 "Medium" (Silver). KM17 "Medium" is pretty similar to a AE .020" or CRC .50mm. Both seem to work well on medium to high grip tracks, slightly more initial steering with the medium soft spring.
Kits, spares and some options are in stock with more option parts arriving soon!

I know I'm digging up this thread from the past, but man the Kawada M300 FX4 U.S Spec (Released Date December 2016) was blistering fast at this years Japan Nationals. The chassis TQ'd by over 5 seconds and came in second and seventh place in the A-main. Very impressive results considering both cars were using a box stock setup with a floating servo mount as the only upgrade.
The carbon chassis is perfect for high bite gray CRC carpet and they also offer an aluminum main chassis for black CRC carpet as well.
Check them out.

Lot's of good tips from the Kawada blog as well. I'm hoping to get it ready for AOC Tokyo this November.

I was importing for a while. I haven't officially cut ties, however I've suspended any activity for a while. It's a shame, they're a really great brand with a long history in 12th scale and the products are genuinely very high quality. There just wasn't enough interest beyond a couple dozen emails asking for sponsorship's. As far as I'm concerned, that is not a business model I care to participate in.

It was quite the shock to see how well the Kawada M300 FX4 performed. Many drivers use Yokomo, Kyosho, CRC chassis and most people here never consider Kawada as an option. I personally think the M300 FX4 is an underrated chassis and often overlooked. After seeing and setting up / working on one I would definitely look at purchasing a M300 FX4.
The setup sheet for the FX4/Yatabe Arena will be posted sometime this week.
