Quick question- Where the servo mounts, with the 2 holes closest to the centerline of the car (the only place mine will fit because of the width) it makes the steering link look like this: / not quite that angle though. I don't think it will be a problem, but I have a lot of ackerman. is anyone else experiencing this problem with a more narrow servo? I'm running the Hitec 925. also, my springs and swaybars are getting here today, where should i set my front swaybar? and what springs to use for carpet? thanks.

Yea it is Really thick. It looks even thicker than that. I held it in my hand and it was Nice. seeing that factory kit built the bulk heads are real nice. But Its made for Carpet though.

If you have a blade bar - most seem to run from 45* to 90*. Play with it to fix corner over and under steer. Sways are only really good for smooth track (carpet on hardwood/concrete etc). Sways generally don't work well on bumpy tracks though.
See prior post by me and a reply by KMW on the spring topic. I run stiff, but i have a problem with a sometimes twitchy car. (last weekend I ran two laps prior to the race to run off some traction compound and that helped - perhaps I was saucing wrong. I also was running a short wheel base - but went to as long as you can get, that helped as well. I also moved to 2* rear toe per side from a 1* rear toe) Some run soft - but hard cornering may lead to traction rolling.
(as I said in my prior post - this is my 1st season on carpet in like 10 years - lots to re-learn)
BTW, Thanks KMW. I agree with what you said - my other problem is that I am almost always too late to the track on Sundays to get in much practice time - but that's just my lazy fault. LOL
This weekend I'm going to run with one battery pack moved one spot more forward. This should reduce the amount of weight transfer to the front as I transition to power off. Counterintuitive, but if you start with more mass up front, there is less to transer up front when the car de-accelerates. I should be smoother on the transitions. I suspect this will require that I change other stuff too. We'll have to see.

Thanks again! Too bad I'm not running the Demon anymore, but I guess a Warpspeed Xray kit might find it's way to my workbench

Xray Shock Towers
I see that the new Xray Factory Kit might include some new rear shock towers that I have to say look very much like some that are already available...
