Looks like a good time to crankup production on those things. HPI missed winning the first F1 cup by only 1 point with the old model. I think I could suffer a lap or two with one of those.

Thats what its based on but a littlr more user friendly. D-Drive has two of the HPI carbon chassis. But they were expensive when they were made around $450.00 in Japan. The chassis was made in Cali by some one other than HPI so they should be easier to find in America than Japan.

I think it's time for everyone to call or email HPI and tell them we are ready to race!

I've got a few questions for you guys on these f1 cars.

What rubber tires can be ran?

What esc is used for lipo and the stock silver can?

Anyone have a 35th anniversary car for sale?

Just installed my Kawada side dampners tonight - OMFG what a difference it makes. SOOOO planted on throttle out of corners. It doesn't handle like a pan car at all!

Default McLaren paintjob

So I just shipped a McLaren body to the guy I painted it for and I thought I would share some pics of the process. The body used is the Chevron F108 using the 2008 McLaren decals from D-Drive
All parts are traced and labeled

Parts trimmed and fitted, simple one color stuff painted

Sidepods set in position

Flourescent red vinyl and chrome film applied to wings

airbox testfit

undertray blackout

sidepods masked for blackout

It is really called the Rolling Shock Set by Kawada. It is a pair of damper tubes which take place of the disc damper. They make the car very very very stable.

TRG 2300 front and TRG 2400 rear rubber tires are great ! I just tested 4
different compounds last weekend and these are virtually identical to the
Tamiya B compound... love these tires... you can get them through RCMart...
