But arent you afraid that you might damage the main chassis in a crash, I see the rear pod and main chassis is 1 piece??
If you were to make the leafsprings seperate you would have 3 pieces to the chassis and make the leafsprings replacable.
I'm just giving you an option, the design is nice!
Edhchoe, a Lipo 3000mah will last longer than 3000mah niMh's.
With a silver can, I have no idea, but I think a half an hour of driving time is no problem.
Charging time: allways 1 hour, but I doubt if you would run it empty in 1 run, so prolly more like 30min or something like that.

Tech and TRG will have new chassis coming out something like this,you might want to look at them for some more ideas when they have pictures of them.
One question is why the F201 tires and wheels? I know they look good but they really do not work very well.

That is why I want to convert to Pro10 foams,
so I can joint the 2WD competition this or next season.
The F201 wheels are as you said the best looking,
but have no good insert and deform too much while driving.
The F103 wheels are better but the Tamiya f103 diff is too complicated to work well.

Had some serious crashes, but no damage,
The glassfiber epoxy is much stronger than carbon,
and it will not delaminate.

More RC Indycars Spitfire pictures.
This is one of the better F1 Chassis out there. Very stable and solid.
The rear pod is 3 link with black anodized plates, black shocks, etc. I used new parts instead of transplants from a donor car. A donor car would have made it tons cheaper, but what's the fun in that? I'll post a picture with the painted body once that is completed this weekend. I hope this weekend anyway.

The heat and bend method stresses the plastic and still makes the part fail TCS tech inspection. If you're going for camber and don't care about TCS, just shave the upper control arm and add 1 mm shims back in. Each shim is about a half a degree.

I just got a 15th aniv. kit today. Anybody know if there is a true 48 pitch spur that will fit on this car? I have no 0.4 module pinions. I am going to run a 17.5 brushless in the car, any ideas on a good starting ratio? I will be running at the Tamiya usa track.
