PS, I had a friend dart my truck a dozen times or so at my local track (Island Raceway and Hobby). NO failure of your FT Brace!
I ... "abused" my brace and the only thing I ever had happen was one end popped out of the Brace, and I epoxy'd it back in.

Btw: I CA'd the Carbon tube as per standard but If you are worried about Carbon tube split, Put zipties at each end. NOW if it breaks, You're crazy. ( flip the tab of the ziptie under the brace and it looks like a band, not ugly at all)

Okay. I'll offer both. Until AE brings out their Steel Bushing version and I'll cease.

I would prefer the first, would rather reuse what I have since I've already got a few spare gear and seal sets. If you happen to get a good quantity discount on the complete sets and could sell them modded for around the same price as the stock kit, that would be a diffrent story

Either case, I wouldn't bother with the assembly, most guys that want that kind of mod would rather assemble themselves anyway.

Okay. Ordering housings and bearings, will cut up wed and give a little pic-show; and you guys can start fixing your wobbles till AE sends out theirs.

Edit: And Miz, I couldn't get 15 bucks off those kits and mod, then ship. Not even with my job.

Practice went well. Truck feels good on this track, took me some time to get tires and get used to the fresh car/new setup.

The truck feels good on the track and I think it may be competitive. We'll see tomorrow at quals.

Seriously the never ending upgrades. Lol looks good. I'd vote for the first one.

Does that idle gear give it direct....traction or spin...looking for the correct word.

Doesn't Robinson make a metal idler for the 4x4? May be a good use for it. I don't think the stock will hold up to the pinion very long.

It's not an upgrade. It's only a play test, and if it ends up being "something" it's only ever going to be an option. 99% sure.

Not sure if its even going to help the problem or not but I dont see why it would not hold up, the top shaft is metal and that idler gear holds up fine. I will worry about that later, just want to see if it even makes a difference at all. my next problem is that hobbywing doesnt have the option to reverse rotation so now i have to put a POS MMP on it to test.

Well you know my situation, either i try something to make it jump or i will be forced to get another truck that will

The idler gear is direct drive, no slip. pinion to idler to spur.

Looks good mantis, I was wondering how far along you were on this. I'm very curious to see how well it works. It's a lot like how some mid motor 2wd buggys have reverse motor direction to help traction. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot more than just jumping dynamics are changed. Get ready to work out a whole new setup!

I also have a DEX210 with the motor spinning the same direction as our trucks and they have the exact characteristics. Nose high, pulls wheelies and no mid air attitude adjustments. So i expect this to have less rear traction, more on power steering and better air adjustments.......I hope

How hard would you guys rate a Sc10 4x4 build scale 1-10? I really want the FT vrsion but I don't want to build it if it'll be ridiculously tough, thanks.
