He did pretty well overall. I think he was 2nd with the Recoil car he ran and made the A's in the other classes he ran. Castle did very well once again at the Mini Nats.

Cogging problems

I have a 4600 in my TC running on lipo and its great!

I have a 5700 in my Associated T4 truck (which was in my TC running perfectly) running on the same batteries and it cogs like a mofo. I have taken the plugs off and soldered the wires together from the ESC to the motor and it still did not help.

Any ideas?

I'm sure it's been covered before, but i'm just lazy Thanks, I ask because your motors are rated with Kv rather then the # of turns (which i think is great, and other companys should follow you guys )

Thanks fellas!
Don't be afraid to throw a lot of gear at the 4600....It will love you for it!!!

Is everything else identical as far as type of receivers.

what are the settings you have on the ESC that is cogging? Set it up the same as the non cogging one. Also, make sure you have the latest software update on the ESC.

Ok, the TC runs a JR XR2i AM27hz radio the T4 is running a futaba 2PL AM27hz. The ESC settings are stock appart from setting the lipo cut off to 6.4v.

I would try a cap like Spektrum sells first. Your receiver might be dropping below 6 volts and since they are different radios it might not affect each of them the same. The JR might not be as picky with the voltage. That is what I would try first. 2nd would be to put the JR receiver in the T4 and use your JR radio once and see if it works fine (I know it works in the TC but I would try it anyways to narrow it down).

Ok got a problem here somebody might have an answer to, my friend has a mamba 5700 and it won't calibrate to his nomadio system. He turns it on and holds the trigger to full throttle and that clibrates but at full brake it just sits there and blinks wont register brakes. anybody know whats wrong. Thanks

When I had my Nomadio radio I had problems setting up my speedo because the radio wouldn't hook up to the receiver fast enough so calibration took many attempts. My Nomadio had more of a delay to get a signal than my Spektrum or FASST system.

Another thing to check is make sure the radio has the brake setting at 100.

Yeah, he mentioned he spoke with you. He did really well at the Indoor Nats @ RCM...along with the rest of the Castle Crew.

Here's a link to the rest of the pics in case anyone is interested. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=19510
