Has anyone seen any performance difference between reverse or high power brushed modes?

If he uses a Spektrum system it can also do that. Mine would failsafe all the time and hesitate. No more Spektrum no more problems.

your telling me. even my 4600 has plenty of juice.

with polyethylene tires, which is much slippery than ABS, i can still hold heaps of speed through my drifts.

To me, i dont think anything could come close to a Mamba max...

is it possible to solder the female end of the connector hard on to the circuit board on the esc so that i could use the shortest wire possible be still able to unplug the motor? this is for a mamba max 6900.

island, it seems possible, and it seems like a pretty good idea. I would put the bullets vertically off the board. If you hang them off the side, there's a much higher chance of an impact that breaks them off the board and ends your run. Just make sure you have a big and hot soldering iron. It's hard to solder to the ESC's solder pads - the big heatsink sucks up a lot of heat.

yup, vertical it was i was thinkin. im trying to see if i turn the esc parallel to the motor (415, xray t2, yokomo etc) i would save space and would not have to mount the receiver on the servo. i know the esc would stick out ov the chassis but i fugure u could get it closer to the center of the car. as for hooking up to the computer, just remove the motor (i don't need to do this that often.) ill post some pick when i get around to doin it.
