Sushi Man....our PRO monster armature is 100% compatible and legal for use in ANY monster based motor. Our PRO versions come with the comm cut, armature checked for straigtness, comm timing check, resistance check, winding check, and balance check.....we sell a non-pro version which will just be a armature directly from japan untouched.

DaRollaRacer, email me direct at [email protected] and I will help you out on the dyno graphs....

Superfly1967....our stock motors are based off the EPIC/Trinity teardowns.....we take a lot effort to put out the most competive stock motors in the world....and we have the results on the track to back it up. A lot of extra work is put into our stockers.....work that larger companies like trinity simply don't do. Our stuff is race ready out of the package.....

I will be answering all emails and PM soon.....just trying to catch up....

Default getting into modified TC

Eddie, Peter, or anyone who can help...

I've run nothing but stock for years but am looking at getting into modified TC. The track I'll be racing on will have an approx. 100' smooth asphalt straight. What turn and wind arm would you recommend for a KR can? It's a club level competition.

Thanks a lot,
Brian

Eddie, I purchased a blueprinted core stock from you to be tuned for 12th scale. What do you think would be a good starting point for roll out on this motor. Thanks for the help. Tenderfoot

As a follow up to tenderfoot's question, how would Brood spring and brush a Monster stock for use in 1/12 scale? I bought such a Brood motor tuned for touring cars on carpet, but now I'll be using the motor in 1/12 scale on carpet.

Thanks,

Bob

1/12th scale on 4 cell you can usually go with a high silver brush like the Putnam greens and make good HP with good brush life. Spring tension will probably need to be about 5fs on the - and 5.5fs on the +.

In onroad, I am usually off by 1 second.....offroad, well, thats another story....more like 2 seconds......what can I say, I lack the skill........

In other news....

CHECKPOINT motors will coming to br00d here shortly.......they are still working on pricing, but we will are officially going to be carrying them. The modified will have plastic endbell. According to the Checkpoint guys, the motors are still just as fast as the aluminum ones, but weigh less. Brushes, Springs, and other Checkpoint accessories will follow.

The NEW Atlas motors are just a couple of weeks away......they will have a new stock, 19t, and modified....

And lastly, our IB4200 packs will be here shortly.....SMC is going to match ours before even their own, so we will be the first company with them.....not sure on pricing yet, as we have yet to see what the numbers will be like....we have been told 430+ at 1.20+ at 35 amps.....crazy.

So you guys are the loosers that have held the BQ helmet hostage!

Travis was supposed to get that to the next race after Portland and he flaked.

Can one of you get it to the Novak...then get it to Jared Scott to bring back to Florida for the Snowbirds. Jared might as well own the thing

I asked this in another thread and didn't get a answer. Hope you don't mind me asking here. I have two motors (from other companies) that both have a very permanent mark on them. One has a red mark on the top of the pos brush hood, and another has a yellow mark on the can. I know why the marks are there (to easily id the pos side of the endbell and then to identify a handout motor for tech at a race). Can anyone tell me what to use to make the marks? It looks like a paint of some type. I know it is not sharpie as that wears off after a bit. This is permanent and is a little shiny. Any ideas? Thanks : )

They often use fingernail polish for handout marks.....

Without seeing a picture or something, I can't be sure....

I was thinking this was kind of an industry standard. Really all I am trying to do is make the + end of my endbell easier to identify when it is in my car as I can not always see the + on the circuit board. Here's a pic of the two motors I have that have the marks. It seems to be rather thin and transparent. Ideas? Or is there something else I can use besides fingernail polish?

Yes, we will be at carpet nats in full force.......Jared Wore it at Carpet Nats two years ago....then BK in portland just after that.....been with trav ever since....

Andrew, that looks like either Nail polish or a paint marker of some sorts.....either will work just fine for what your after....I like nail polish better, as its usually a laquer, so its more durable to our solvents.....most paint markers for models and such are enamels.....
