Keven didn't run new tires every run. In fact if I remember correctly the rounds he ran new tires were the rounds Larry TQed in. He did put on a new set for the main. Keven and Larry had an incredible 4th qualifier. Keven got an early .3 advantage and they ran at about the same separation the rest of the way matching lap times. On the second to last lap Keven tapped a corner which caused him to hit the outside barrier and Larry captured TQ. I really wish we could have seen what would have happened in the main had it not been for Larry's bad luck on this first lap. It would have been a heck of a race.

I had the advantage in that qual early with a couple 10.9s up front then I rolled my car and had a 12.4 second lap and worked my way back till I got into the lead on the 2nd or 3rd to last lap. When they announced I was leading I backed it off a little bit so I didnt screw up. I wish I didnt though cause I would of loved to get the 33 lapper. But needless to say Kevin and I had good battles all weekend, I'm very pleased with being able to run with him, if only I didnt forget to put a screw back in my c hub after checking my front driveshafts before the main. Doh.

Hey Bro,

I am not sure about associated spurs but i know for sure kimborough spurs works on photon. Just a little mod to rim the holes on the spurs by just a little bit. Works well for me.

Cheers

those should work, they're kimbrough spurs.

and according to others and cocky duck the kimbroughs work with a little reaming of the holes in the spur.

Thanks guys!

Right now i'm using a 78T corally spur on the photon, i was looking for some smaller spurs to match the same diameter as the stock 100T 64P spur.

Thanks! Where are people in the USA getting their parts from though? My lhs says he can't get them. Might be cause he's trying to get me to go the tc5r route but Ive already got one and don't really like it. I was wanting a newer design tc and I feel the top photon is exactly that! I don't mind making an order and having some spares on hand but amain is limited on what they actually have in stock. Where else can I order parts for the photon online? Also, what seems to break on the car? What do I need to have in my bag at the track? Thanks!

I ran my Photon at the new 1350g weight last night on carpet with rubber tyres.

All I can say is WOW !!!

Sooo much faster, handling was superb (even using the previous 1500g setup), turning was like it was thought-controlled.

Best bit was that the motor isn't under so much load with the reduced weight so I can probably gear up another couple of teeth on the pinion for even more speed.
