I think you still have an original spool. The newer spool is made of a harder material and the screw hole is slightly smaller. If I were you I'd order a new spool from TOP USA and also I'd run the alum spool cups. The steel cups have no give in them so when you hit something you either bend the dog bone or break a c-hub/knuckle. Just be sure to stock up on blades.

i think whoever said the screws are backing out is exactly right.. i'm running steel front bones.. no fear of bending them.. this is an early kit so i'm guessing it is an early spool too.. i'm switching to some hpi purple course threaded screws..

You'll be fine running the standard M3 screw in the new spool. You also might want to switch to either alum bones or alum spool cups. Having all that steel in the front creates alot of chatter and may be part of your problem. I also found that running the new CVD pin retainer collars make the bone much less prone to chattering.

you should have no more problems with the spool

running the steel bones opposed at 90 degrees to eachother helps with chatter some.. is there a pt number for the collars? i dont see them..

The HPI screws should work fine, but I'd recommend that you replace the spool with the latest one (version 2) If you contact us here at TOP USA we may be able to supply you with a complimentary spool

I really like the pin holders. They do seem to free up the movement of the axle. Mine fit pretty snug, so I put a thin layer of black grease on the axle before installing them.

Wheel side so they can't slide off.

This car continues to amaze me. TQ'ed today by 5 seconds. The car was very fast and cornered on rails. At some point in the main, I blew out a rear tire and got a little out of control. Still managed to finish second about 2 corners off of the leader. Another one of our best drivers just sold his T3 to pick up a Photon. That says alot about the quality and handling capabilities of the car.

Hi here

Any one has some good setup for the foam spec that i should try?
i am a pretty newbie to touring so any help is good

The thing's i have done is just added some anti-caster at front and added 800 oil in front shock's and 550 in the rear shock and added 1,2 swaybar at rear. this helped alot in the consitency of the car but i feel the diffs are not quite where i want them, they are slipping from stand still. If i thight'en them more they are getting more gritty What should i do here?

one thing I discovered this weekend (on the first day with this car)...when on rubber tires, the thicker front wheel hexes (to widen the front track) make a huge difference. Early in the day, my car was settled during the first 1/2 of each run but then it would become much too loose towards the end of the runs. I couldn't find a way to cure that late loose issue....until adding the thick hexes on the front axles. With those fitted, the car became much more settled, way easier to drive, and the late loose issue went away. Amazing. And very satisfying. Can somebody please explain why this worked? I'm happy that it did fix the problem. But now I'd like to understand why it did (especially because nothing else I tried seemed to have any effect at all on the late run looseness).
