Exclamation 416 revisited!

In the pictures from Corey Whitman it appears that the diff is larger than usual. It looks as big as the 501x and so does the center pully!

hey,

a question to the gear-battery problem.
In the Xray is an batteryblock who stops it to get into the gear..
..is there anything like this in the TRF 416 or nothing?

So is $500 the normal price for this car or is it inflated? I hope to see it somewhere around the 415 or TA05MS price range when it is "officially" released.

where are you seeing $500. Most prices I've seen are around 439. Speedtechrc is selling it for that

Default centre pulley

i put 0.2mm spacer between pulley cap to remove slight wobble in the left centre pulley.

gone were the days when changing spur was only a 2-screw job on TA04

Have anyone noticed noticed that there is a lot of play sideways in the center layshaft on the 416?

The manual requires one 0,2mm shim at each side of the pulley holder, but there is still 0,8mm of play (just measured it with a digital caliper)

Edit: Oh, I guess that is what KoE is talking about also...

Anyone else noticed this?

Use the included shims as required.

So it is supposed to be this much play?
I dont see any harm in it, just seemed a bit strange.

I think that C van der Hagen meant that you should use the included shims to adjust it to be perfect!
0.2mm or 0.6mm, whatever to make it fit properly....

Anyone put a Lipo in this thing yet...

Orion, Trinity, Core, or any other? Just wondering if they fit in this new Tamiya.

The center pully is 18T vs 16T on the 416.
