It looks like a one-way from the manual.

Here's a picture of Jeff from Speedtech chewing the ass of someone from Tamiya to get the cars here faster...LOL...not really, but it is him...

Laps? Has anyone laid down some laps yet? Please give us the word. The world is waiting! Hurry hurry hurry. CA the chassis later. Get it done! Go go go! I can't stand the waiting.

If all goes as planned, I may be going to pick up the 416s for Jeff in the morning...not sure yet...but maybe.

If it works out, they'll be shipping out tomorrow...if not, first of the week. Cross your fingers.

How's Speedtech looking on the 416 specific spares? Are those coming in with the kits?

From what he said, the spares are arriving with the kits, but he didn't have a parts sheet for it until today...so...they're supposed to be available, but they won't be in the shop for a couple extra days. The cars go through a distributor, but the parts are direct from Tamiya.

Annotated version: It won't be like the B44 deal.

Spool for TRF416

- TRF415 MRE Spool (As what was mentioned in earlier posts, fit the 416 pulley on the other side)
- TA05 Spool Steel Cups (4 spoke)
- TRF416 Front One-way Pulley

In order to use the combo above, there's a need to use 46mm drive shafts, as the kit provided 44mm shafts are too short. No filing or hacking required.

Comments?

It will work but the disadvantages of steel cups are more chatter, higher driveshaft wear and less steering due to increased rotational weight.

here a quick question. since the kit comes with a one way. would a the 415 diff work. As I planning on running a bit of foam rug later this winter. Or should I just stick with the one-way(never driven a car with one way though)

Unfortunely it does not, but the solution is easy. The rear diff on the 416 fits up front to just like the cyclone.

Does anyone know if the new knuckles will accept 28mm foams? I saw the link to pictures a few pages back they do not indicate 26 or 28mm.
