Not sure you need cooling holes? With the spec gearing, the motors never get hot.

Well I ran the " Team Alibaba" motor and you all are correct. The motor is the perfect speed for spec TC. I am just being a idiot.

I ran with a few guys from X-Treme Carpet Raceway over the weekend and the laps times are exactly the same over a 5 minute heat with hardly any fade at all.

So is the new USGT spec motor from gravity / USVTA going to have any effect on the cam-am USGT spec motor by orca?

its an interesting thing -- going into effect Spring 2020 for USGT rules. USGT "folks" didn't like the Can-Am motor (but racers did). I'd assume the Can-AM USGT motor would change/disappear for Season 3 of Can-Am starting August 2020

No, Usgt folks had no opinion about can am when it started and wanted to see how it would play out. Because we did not jump on your bandwagon immediately does not mean there was any ill will. I don't know who you talked to but I told people I hope it works out for you, but we have always chosen to be conservative and watch a bit before we jump into anything. Beyond that, I have always tried to maintain as much autonomy as possible for usvta classes. It just works better in my opinion.

Btw Novak motors were the usvta spec motor for years until they went belly up. This is nothing new.

Rob.. excluding races that leveraged Can-Am usgt from your point series / result set is the reason for my statement.

Fully aware of the Novak past...

Happy to see evolution in the wider community...

Unfortunately, the motor and gear rules are not USVTA rules. If someone had a race on Jacos instead of Gravity USGT tires, I would have to rule those results out too.

It doesn't mean I disagree with what you have done, or that I don't admire your success.

So.. before I spend a week digging. What's the best place to pick up the connector sets for the motors?
