I thought that the pads would replace the rings, cause they're just as thick as the rings.
What adjustments did you guys make to the car from the car setup? Im gonna run 19T, so just want to have an idea what to expect, and what to change after the first couple runs. Im thinking of running mod as well, soon. Do you guys put the sway bars as well, like the setup says. Im running on asphalt, CS27, med grip.
Thanks
chris

i race at speedworld raceway (unsealed ashpalt, high grip, decent size track) and started with todd's setup from the nats there. the only changes i made were to set the droop as described in the tuning section of the manual, and moved the front shocks out to the middle hole as the track was a bit tighter than at the nats. oh, i also ran short front arms out of necessity, but the change felt good on that track. it took out a little of the super aggressive steering.
the car was awesome, much faster than my old mid motor car. my driving however was not awesome.

OK, finished my build (well kinda), here's my impressions....
Top layshaft is slightly bent - the spur gear gets a bit of a wobble up - pulled it all apart & checked & it's definately the layshaft at fault. I'll be all over the 1st aftermarket strengthened one to come out.
Drive pulley holes didn't line up.... until I tried every combination of alignment! They do go on straight, but there's only one way they seem to (only 9 different combinations of hole alignment)
Ready for outdoor setup - B*LL*CKS!! There was no swaybars, oil or springs to build it with the outdoor setup straight outta the box. Now, I don't expect these things to be in there usually, but after all the "there's rubber/asphalt setup included" I was expecting to build that setup straight out of the box - if I'd known I needed extra parts I would have ordered them when I purchased the car, now I'm waiting another 4 days until I can get it finished.
Other than that, it's all good - went together very nicely. Can't wait to run it, hope my parts get here b4 the weekend so I can race it this weekend.

The only change I made from the box asphalt setup was moving the front shocks out one hole and using 40wt shock oil up front. She's fast.
