The dots your looking at are sold in farm / ranch supply stores and are plow disks. They are steel and come in different sizes.

However, do a search on Road Rail, which is a plastic track layout system and they have plastic disks that are white and red that attach to the system.

We did a car show for the Vintage Trans-Am for a car show and sets up easy and worked well since we did not have any corner marshalls. It really does not work for normal racing as cars can and do jump over it will easy, but you have a great barrier.

I have some footage from this weekend, and will try and get loaded on My Tube. Once there, I'll post a link back here.

Those "corner dots" are actaully steel plow disks. You can get them at tractor/farming supply outlets. They are heavy, and last forever. In my area, they are about $20 each. If you do go buy them, when ordering, make sure they do not have the bearing assembly attached ,otherwise they will be $70 or up..... and obviously you do not need anything but the disk...

THanks for everyone's help so far!!

THanks everyone!

I figured they were plow discs but i hadn't been able to get to a farm supply store (Tractor Supply Company) to verify and get some prices.

While the plastic ones are cheaper to buy, they will get knocked around easier... then again, if it's just one or two people on a parking lot, that option might be better in the long run.

$20 bucks a disc might be a bit too much for just one guy running in a parking lot.

More info on the discs...

Searched Tractor Supply's website and came up with this...

http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/...g=true&cFlag=1

16 inch Grizzly Stallion Plain Blade-- $12.49 each-- 1 1/2 concavity (height i'm guessing)

Much better price than $20. I'll have to go see these in person to see if they'll work.

Thumbs up Re..discs

Check used farm equipment dealers, they usually have old junk equipment and might have discs for cheep!!! Or if you know anyone who farms they probably have an old pull type disc they don't use anymore or know some one who does. Ours cost me a box of "BEER" to pay for the cutting torch use!!!!!. The ones we got were about 16" and I had our welding shop cut them down to 12".

Any of you guys running a Cyclone?? Just a standard Cyclone - not a Moorespeed or Hara/Surikarn.

Any ideas of a set-up for asphalt and carpet? I guess I should say a "starting point" for the car?

Thanks!

We use RoadRails here for our temp parking lot track. Works very well, although it is correct that cars can jump the rails.

Looking forward to running TA this Sunday

The road rails that we used this weekend that Grenade had posted earlier had thin foam attached to underside that really made the road rail stay put on the asphault and we attached the separate pieces of rail together with plastic body christmas tree fasteners

Where is a good place for different styles of numbers? I like many of the number styles I have seen here, and I want something appropriate.

Thanks!
