I know HPi was giving the "meatball" style decals away if you emailed them...I don't know if they still have any. I have seen a few cars with stick on vinyl numbers that you can get at craft stores or hardware store for putting on a mailbox or whatever You may also look at the airplane section at the hobby shop, as they sometimes have vinyl numbers that are suitable.

Thumbs up RE...#'s

Rob, try autographics of California, Ebay store, they have a fair selection or numbers and older sponsor decals.

Hey guys

maybe this should be the set up for outdoor racing Trans-Am GT, Modern cars 200mm any chassis lipo friendly. Seems like a better idea then GT-10, just my 2 cents

I like this idea for a class out side...IMHO its better then a GT10 class as not so many people need to go out at buy a new kit they can use a sedan and drive it. At the Trans AM nationals the HPI rep was talking about this and its a really good idea. We just had our first outdoor race and there was 3 or 4 GT bodies on 4wd sedans in the mod class and its was great to see them all racing around and not looking at a class of all mazda's. All the bodies seemed to work well too. Maybe we need to start a new thread to talk about this more and get out of the Trans AM thread.

I agree to get this out of the Tran-Am thread but I did not know if I should start one until the idea took hold

Hey Doug, We have a parking lot club here in Fayetteville NC., am in a week and a 1/2 just talking about T/A we have 4 or 5 cars bing built and probably more to come, Most will be running the 21.5-lipo combo, as most only need a motor to run that set up. we will use the 4.75 fdr rule and adjust up or down, if needed. Thanks for putting together a package that seems to be well recieved and has a lot of interest.

yes that was RCP, the squeal is awsome on the TA's, grip is huge so traction roll became a issue for some.

Seems like the 21.5-Lipo combination is the big thing here also for T/A.

It's definitely looking good for the 21.5 in this class. One of the test tracks out in the east is currently running this combo with the 27t and 17.5s and they are having great success so far with the FDR around 4.3. Anything more than that and the LiPo cars get to be faster than the 27t brushed cars.

Once we have a good specific FDR number to get the 21.5 on even ground, we'll add it to the USVTA rules. For now, you could probably work in the area of 4.3 to 4.4 FDR as a good loose limit.
