I hate to admit it but eeyan still makes my knees shake when he is running with me and oh no, there is Hebiki who has much improved his driving skills. He was circling me like I was riding a turtle. Will see how he pairs up at TCS. I also think my TB02 has reach around 85% setup condition. I still have some minor tweaking to do to get it to twist around better on the TA track. We did 19 turn over Saturday and the car did not let me down and held its ground. I must admit, I am tempted to run it in GT1 class since it appears it likes 19 turn motors as far as gearing is concerned.

tb02 vs ta04
for those who have had their tb02s for some time, how would it compare to the ta04 for TAC tub-chassis class?
care to share your findings?

Also, has anyone found a US 48 pitch setup that will work in lieu of the kit metric .06 module ones? Thanks in advance.

MRG, Lee Passehl ran his TB02 last week in our regional here and he was ballistic! His GT2 time was faster then some guys GT1 Times! I have an Evo I converted over to a TB02 but I didn't get time to get the car dialed in, so I ran my 04SS in GT3.
Fabulous, I tried a 48 pitch, 60 tooth spur with a 27 pinion, and it worked...until the shaft started to float and the spur was pulled away from the pinion and buzzed it. sigh. I just bought metric pinions this week instead. BUT, has anyone found a 26 tooth .6 module pinion? Tamiya stops at 25 and jumps to 27. I know HPI used to make them, but not any longer

It sounds like you're using the Evo spurgear adapter. What was the problem with it? I'm not sure what you mean by "the shaft started to float."

Yeah, I was. I tried a 60 tooth super thin robinson gear and didn't shim the drive shaft. When it moved back and forth a little on a mabuchi motor, it started skipping and eventually eating the teeth. Oh well, I just ended up buying 18-24 tooth metric pinions, but can't find 25-27. Anyone? I'll post some pics tomorrow of the "new" TB-02. I built the one up I won last weekend with blue aluminum screws from fastener-express.com, and with the blue shocks and wheel hubs this thing has some bling-bling factor to it. Now I just need the aluminum upper mounts and it'll be just....too....SWEEEEEEEET

I haven't received my car yet, so sorry if this is obvious. So, it sounds like you pretty much need to shoehorn in the Evo spur adapter/spurgear for it to fit?? I was hoping to be able to use 64 pitch gears. Do you really need the 27T pinion? 5.00:1 seems awful tall to me. I usually run between 5.2:1 and 5.5:1 in GT3, even on large tracks.
