@F_N_CUDA: I replaced the diff balls, too. But the idea of the greas sound good. I used the grease which came with the kit. I might try any other. Do you have some that you prefer?
@gashuffer: You mean the washers between the ball bearing and the spacer & nut? I give it a try!

They should be like ( ) to spring apart and not ( ( or ) )

Hope this helps.

Also make sure the 2 thrust washers are placed properly or it will give the slack that will require more tightening with less if any adjustability.

The manual says they shoud be placed like (). Is it better to place them like )( instead of ()?
I found this video, where the guy says that the diff. should be run for 30 seconds to build up the maximum grip. He also supposes that the diff. plates should be roughened instead of polished.

Yep, I use 600 grit sandpaper and put vary little lube on the diff. Some people use 600 grit and then finish it off with 1500 grit.

I thought I placed them as it is described in the manual. I'll check that.

I dont know if its better or not to place them like )( , personally I don't because I have a feeling that the outer rim of the inner washer would or might ride on the bearing shields instead of the outer rim of the bearing.
But it shouldn't be riding on either of them anyways, as the design is to have the thrust washer in contact with the inner race of the bearing so it rotates instead of rubbing on the outer race which may loosen up the diff nut when the diff is working as they spin in opposite directions.
Just my theory.

i put mine in like the instructions state () and after minor adjustment and a quick maiden voyage i pulled the diff apart for inspection and noticed the washers are now (].one of them has gone flat. i was sure not to uber tighten the thing. is there a replacement part for these?
