Tamiya F104 Pro!

Also just wanted to let you guys know that I tried the TRG roll damper and it seemed to work well. I had the fastest lap of the day and won the race. It definitely didn't slow the car down. The car had so much rear grip that it was hopping around the corners. This was used with tamiya option rear rubber tires and the kit fronts.

As we are speaking F104 here. Scale looks. Anything more than 180mm wide is a cheater car!

i dont understand how the Exotec is a "link" suspension. the links are mounted at the same pivot point as the swivel, all the links do on that chassis is keep the pod square???? the 109 links actually change traction. its beautiful and i will probably get one but it doesnt look to me like a true link suspension, those links could be 5mm or 5" long and the car would handle the same.

as for the corraly, i hope i didn't offend anybody. that car has world gt tires on it, not traditional f1 tires. thats why i said it is a cheater. every f1 car that came out seem to have similar tires that look like current or past f1 tires, except the corraly.

yes, you are correct. the f109 is a link car, and i do have one. everybody i know that has one has not been able to keep up with an f103. im not sure if it is the chassis or the tires. i think it is because it is long and wide vs. short and wide or long and narrow. i have tried the tamiya tires, but it still doesn't seem to work that well. the f109 is a weird looking link car. the exotec actually looks like a link car. the f109 looks nothing like a scale car, the f104 does. so i stand corrected. what i should have said is that i am happy somebody made a link chassis for the f104, which looks scale, and exotec is the first one to do it. hopefully with the narrower with that the 104 has, and the link setup the car will rotate better around a corner.
So far I was able to keep up with F109 against F103, but maybe I was just better driver than others.
Anyway for me performance/price is great for F109 and I'm still very competitive so that's why I got myself one. Getting F104+Exotek conversion would make big blow in my wallet.

I've held off getting any hop-ups for my 104, but that Exotek is looking pretty sweet right now.
