Hey guys, my dad and I have started racing a few months ago, and we're ready to step up to a competative car. Does anyone here have any pro's and con's to till me about the car listed in this thread? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what is the biggest pinion you can fit on the 008 US with a 112 spur gear?

hi guys, i am new to xray scene. been using tamiya cars previously. is it worth it to buy the T2 008 new or get a very good condition T2 007? i ask coz after reading several pages from this thread, seems like there is not much difference and there are mixed feelings about the two cars. this buy will be my first xray car. tks in advance for any future replies.

From a distance the cars look very similar, BUT, when you do a side by side, in depth comparison, the 008 has so many little changes and refinements over the 007. The 008 is by far the best of the best choice.

but the 008 came out like only after less than a year after the 007. then the changes/improvements might not be that great i believe. just like the trf-415,415MSX,415MSXX and whatever all the way to TRF-416! these cars are released at a mad, obscene pace i tell you. and the improvements/changes are only by a little bit here & a little bit there. so i was thinking of getting a cheap but in very good condition T2 007 rather than an expensive T2 008 for now and wait another 12 months or so and xray will come out with another new car. i believe that way, i will see and feel a greater improvements in the changes. what do you think?

Here are a few examples:
- Fitting a LiPo securely is easier in the '007, but the '008 moved the battery towards the middle of the car for better balance.
- The pinion can be changed on the '007 without having to loosen the 4-rear screws on the top deck, as their is more room to position the pinion on the wider area of the top deck on the '007.
- The shocks on the '008 are shorter along with lowered shock towers, and if the piston/shock shaft are not positioned correctly within the shock body, you will have droop and ride height adjustment issues until corrected.

Anyone know where I can get Nexus spurs?
They are out of everything on their website. Also I'm new to the Vintage class. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good set up using a Camaro body? I can't find anything for an 008, 21t brushless and lipo. I noticed lots of side to side play with my lipo 3800. Is there any fix?

Hi guys, I'm looking to get an FDR of 5.9 with the Speed Passion Ultra 13.5, and I need a spur gear in the 70's range (48dp, 1.7 ratio).
The Xray gear chart I have is great, but it lists all possible ratios, whether you can fit them in the car or not. Is there a chart or something that'll show just the ratios that'll fit the car?

Sizes 102+ of the RW white gears have holes around the outside of the gear for motor mount access (the picture on our website is of the old 102 and 104 gears that did not have those holes.)
