Isn't the Flux set up with the right tires/wheels and body?? Been around for awhile now.

I use the word "member" and series "participant" interchangeably----so I'm probably causing the confusion.

I dont have the flux personally so correct me if I go astray, but it appears to be made by castle and if used with the Novak 21.5 will be legal until the rule change in September. I believe after that the rule change will make the speedo illegal as well. The Havok is cheap and wont cog with the novak so its better to just go that way.

I think its dawning on people that the Sprint 2 sport with the VTA trim is 80% of what you need to have a VTA rig. Just add Lipo and Havok VTA system and you are golden.

yeah, I know someone who runs the flux setup with the novak motor. it cogs at times, but actually surprised how well it works when it does.

If HPI either could do a team up with novak or even just a roller, or ARR just missing the ESC and motor it would be great.

I wish they would make it a roller. They could even put a servo in, so all you need is the RX, TX, and the Havok system......almost idiot proof

Yeah I wish they would too. I would have a spare VTA car and loan it out if a friend seemed interested. I wouldnt cry when that prepainted shell got beat up either. Would love it with either the new cheap spectrum or the HPI 2.4 system. Somebody high up at HOrizon could make this happen. Who do we kidnap?

By the way Robk I saw you on liverc one night. I think it was at Trackside. You were layin the smackdown. Good driving.

It's impossible to make anything idiot-proof because idiots are so ingenious.

That said, I think the roller idea has potential for everybody. It gives the LHS an opportunity to put a simple "Go Racin'" package deal together.

What comes in the sport? Mabuchi or what? How much gear is tossed out to go VTA with it?

Both of my S2S came with the HPI Firebolt 15T. If you can find a 27T you would only have to replace the motor. Otherwise you could get the S2S FLUX and swap that motor out for the 21.5T.

lets compare the list of goodies....

under C-USVTA rules....and New Rules

HPI bodies....at the top of the list..and most popular...also most bodies(5 and hope for the 6th)

HPI tires and rims...everyone runs them..no exceptions

Novak motors....25.5-21.5 SS or Ballistic...only legal motor...everyone uses them

Novak GTB/Havok Series....most popular entry into the class...and soon to be Best ESC(Havok Pro) in the class

that only leaves radio, servo, and chassis...and lipo

HPI puts the Sprint 2 in for chassis and/or servo....and you have a 90% RTR VTA car that anybody can afford...add your radio and race

even with some math...Novak system..$150, HPI has the Sprint 2 in different versions for around $150-$200 RTR....and offers the TA-Sprint 2 Flux version for around $300....

so take the high power Flux out and add the Novak and still sell it around $300 RTR minus lipo....or around $250 with a Bind-n-drive option...

having a rtr vta car is the boost vta needs to keep on-road on ppl mind...much like the slash did for off-road...

ps...dont forget we had high...really high hopes that HPI was putting out a rtr version for us last year...and it turned into a rocket powered VTA car...FLUX POWER!,,,YIKES....Little to much lol

come on guys all the loyal HPI and Novak racers got to count for something...

we will start emailing...texting....calling the support lines....twitter?
