Hey gang....I've been checking out your thread for a while now, and trying to get this class started here in South Jersey.
We will be racing vintage electric and vintage nitro, at the HPI Challenge we are hosting in Cherry Hill N.J. on May 31-June 1st.
This race will be for HPI cars/rules only, but this sounds like a good start to putting together the classes listed in this thread for future events....

The HPI Mustang (65 Shelby or 66 GT) is a 200mm body in front and rear whereas the Camaro and Cuda are 200mm in front and 210mm in rear.
It's a tight fit but I managed to put it all together on a TC3 chassis, I only needed to raise the front body mounts by about 5mm, the rears were fine.

World of Wheels Trans Am Race
The Minnesota State On Road Champs Race at The World of Wheels Car Show spotlighted a Trans Am Series race quite sucessfully.
We stuck to the rules with the following adjustments: 8 min quals; We ended up running out of time at the convention center so the main was shortened to 7 minutes midway thru the run; In addition, we ran the race in the normal direction; All other vehicle rules were adhered to with just a few quals tossed out due to a wrong motor and two driver substitutions.
Conner Pfromm ran away with TQ on his 4th qualifier and then he took the win running his 4th place A-Main stock sedan. He used his stock sedan foam setup, changed tires, battery and body and 'spanked' the competition. He must have a great pit man (me)!!
Allan Pfromm, 2nd, was just under 7 seconds behind Conner's rear bumper, reeling him in. If the race would have gone the whole 8 minutes the win would have been mine since Conner's turnbuckle popped off as he crossed the line for the win at 7 minutes.
Jeff Brustad, 3rd, entered late having just one qual and then the main. He was fast, but I think he had to contend with traffic.
Mike Scott, 4th, held his own, but ran into issues on lap 14 posting a 45 second lap and then a few 27 second circuits.
Dave Hallis, 5th, ran well throughout the quals just seconds behind Allan's qualifying pace in the first few rounds. Instead of chasing the competition, he was chasing his setup all weekend.
Joey Cobb, 6th, shifted from Novice into the Trans Am class after a little coaxing from the other T/A drivers and then after approval from his uncle, Homer Lee.
Gary Pauna, 7th, had issues with traction. He certainly put on a great show for the spectators who thought he was a drifter entered in the wrong race!! He pulled off the track 3:44 minutes into the race.
Even though the turnout was light for the T/A race, interest was high and given the chance to run at the club level, this could take off into a permanent class next season for the Sunday races at LSRCC.

I was kinda thinking that - but wanted to double check with someone who was running the body

For those wondering, I did some testing Sunday with a Novak 21.5 and Orion Lipo in my backup Mi3 and it worked VERY well (even if the driver DIDN'T). Nothing official right now, but in my opinion, this combo will be the future of the class, if not a very good option for a lot of people.
Ideally, we'll have the class set up as (pick one) 27t brushed stock, 17.5 brushless stock, or 21.5 brushless/lipo option for next season.
