Minimum weight
Are you guys in the USA, running all classes at 1500gms
as adding all the lead on Lipo's and Lipo trays makes car
look ugly.
In the UK we run a series 6.5T Lipo brushless at 1450gms.
Aslo the Ansman GP at West London will run 13.5T, 10.5T and
6.5T at 1400gms to see how the cars go.
The governing body BRCA are looking to lower weight limit
for all classes at AGM for next year.

this year IIC 2009 (Vegas, baby!) is setting the min rubber weight to 1425. after installing a Tekin RS into my T2'008 I'm right at 1500 with a heavy weight body. i think a light weight body (minus ~20-25g) and the removal of most of my balance weight will bring my weight down.
how are you fitting your lipo pack into your xray? did you raise the height of your upper deck?

why is it that xray have a different multi diff between a 009/008 and t2/007 whats the difference? "can" i run a 007 multi-diff in a 008?

Actually 008/009 has spool in kit not multi-diff. Reason was that almost noone runs oneway in front now and new composite spool is much lighter and usable for 10.5 and mod. Yes you can still use multidiff but I belive that you'll need to use some shims if I remember well. That's all.

It's pretty complicated. The 50mm driveshafts tend to make the car more responsive and free the car up mid corner and exit. The 52mm are less twitchy but they give the feeling of more traction mid corner and more forward traction.
It's very hard to explain, although generally the team use the shorter driveshafts outdoors, and longer ones on carpet.

It's all down to personal preference really, but I suppose that's only viable if you've got two sets of driveshafts to test with!
What Jonny has said regarding the different handling traits between the two types is what most people deem the rule of thumb when choosing which length driveshaft to use. Personally I ignore the physics and just go on what feels best. These are the tracks I have used each type of driveshaft at, and I have also listed the event due to the grip levels usually being higher at the larger events, outdoor ones especially:
Short driveshafts:
Cotswolds National
Stonehaven, Muchmore GP
Maritime, Carpet Wars
Long driveshafts:
West London National & KOGP
Halifax National
Don Valley, BIWS
As you can see, there isn't much of a logical explanation to these choices. For example, Halifax is a high grip track so short driveshafts would seem the obvious choice, but I preferred to use the long driveshafts as I could be more aggressive into the corners with them!

generally people are running lipo plates w/ their 5000 mah lipo hanging off the side of the car and use small weights at the four corners for balance.

I have the top deck spaced 2mm.
Demon 5000 Lipo sitting in the slots and using tape to hold in.
All my balance weights on side of Lipo.
When we run at Ansman GP will have to loose the weight and
run the Lipo's hanging out of the side.
Will have to wait until XRAY bring out a Lipo chassis, pushing the Lipo
further out and forward to get the balance.

Remember, you're trying to balance the motor at the back as well.
