What servo are you guys using? I just purchased a used T2 and have a Futaba servo that doesn't seem to fit very well and I am not sure what the part number is on the shims for the servo mounts. If someone could give me the part number of the shims and tell me what servos fit easily and hassle free in the T2 that would be great!

Any type of 3mm shims would do it you dont need expensive xray shims.

The Low Profile Futaba 9550 is a good choice or the Low Profile KoPropo those fit nice but shimming is still needed with the stock servo arm.

Actually you don't need any shims with newer T2's. If you have an older T2 just order a new top deck then the 9550 works perfectly. The new top deck is much narrower and you can use the stock servo arm and no shims and still have plenty of room for flex. Both of mine are set up that way.

I guess this is the reason why they changed the top deck.

What I did to get around that is to use an aluminum arm and mounted the link on the oposite side with no shimming. The servo sticks out a little maybe like 1 to 2mm.

I did the same thing, works great. No shims needed and my old JR 8450 only passes the chassis by 1mm.

Any pics of the revised upper deck?

Art - Got my plate over the weekend. It's awesome. First use I already found my chassis tweaked a bit. Thanks!

How much narrower is the revised upper deck? I'm not sure which one I have. I have a 9402 mounted with I believe 3mm shims and the arm just barely grazes the deck. I was planning on filing that area down a bit to give more clearance. The 9402 already sticks out quite a bit. I think I may try moving the link to the other side of the horn as well.

This is from the Team Xray forum. I was wondering if anyone has these or knows where I can find them. I haven't even seen pics yet, just saw it posted today and would like to get some.

I have 3rd parties but they never work as good as Xray’s own stuff.

In order to stiffen the XRAY upper deck, you can use two aluminum upper deck braces (part#301176) in the two pairs of holes along the decks center.

This part# is new and your LHS/supplier may not be aware of it yet. However, they should be able to have their distributor check the new price list and order them.

Per the last line, you will have to contact your LHS/supplier and have them contact their distributor for the latest XRAY price list. Then they should be able to order them.

I was wondering if an online shop may have them and I could get one faster that way. My LHS usually doesn't carry Xray products so it would be a hassle going through the LHS.
