I heard 116T is the biggest spur that fits for 64 pitch, what about for 48 pitch? Thanks.

A pdub bumper?
I threw on the Parma bumper this weekend on my T2. Fits great and very strong...

OK... I'm befuddled.... I put a standard pinion on a moster stock motor and unless I put it on backwards I can not get it to align it with the spur gear.
Do you put spacers between the motor and the bulkhead?

I rechecked the spur gear assembly and everything is correct...
The drivetrain is free..... What am I missing????

What's wrong with putting it on backwards? Some gears won't fit otherwise I think.

Who is to say what's Forward or backward? If it fits and it run true then it must be right.

I guess that I'll install it like the pinion is on the Tamiya TL01 with the set screw near the end of the shaft.....

I did not know there was a backwards way to a pinion gear.

I run robinson gears and the set screw is on the right of the car. No problems with this.

Some 120t 64p and 90t 48p spurs will fit without sticking out of the bottom. However, some brands will stick out the bottom of the chassis about .1 to .2 millimeters.

In the interest of safety and possible track rules, we recommend a maximum size of 118t 64p and 87t 48p for the T2. Keep in mind that we used a 116t 64p spur for the foam tire gearing chart included in the kit.

Thats the standard "right" way for the T2.

Just a few points:

The pinion also mounts "backwards" on My RC10T.

Some may not realize but when others say some spurs will fit and some will not, They are refering to the mounting holes being different and some are metric teeth and some are SAE (Standard/old fashioned).

The metric Spurs also need to be run only with metric Pinions as they do not mesh correctly with SAE spur gears.
