No, the standard ones. This is why there is a lot of camber.
On the low bite carpet set ups, I am using our teflon coated ball ends which are 1.5mm shorter and usually have a little bit less slop than the Yokomo parts while still staying free.

gear ratios for bd7
Hi,
I have 2 bd7 ( stock and super stock)
I know asking for the ideal gear ratios or good spur/pinion gears combo depends on a lot of variables.
What im asking for are a good base to start from.
basically i want suggestions for a tight small track and a medium to big track
my stock is 21.5 speed passion 3.0 running on blinky mode while superstock is 13.5 reedy sonic on dualsky esc running with boost.
If anyone can suggest few options or at least point me towards the right direction
Thanks

I'm trying to help a buddy out for this Friday race night. For the summer season we are just running USGT 21.5. The issue is he has a 2013 BD7 and we cant get the gearing to work. Wondered if there is a different motor mount set up? We went to smaller spur gear to allow for a bigger pinion. But the support just in front of the motor mount is in the way. Suggestions please. or does he have to buy a 2015?

For 21.5 gearing, maybe a 48 pitch combo would be cheaper to do than changing kits. :-)

spur 95T-54T pinion
OR
spur 94T-53T pinion
I believe we are trying to get 3.0 -3.1 would be nice.
The issue isnt the motor mount we massaged it a bit i believe. But the support that is in front of the motor mount is in the way of a big pinion.

If you buy a 82 or 83 spur you can keep your 53/54 pinions and should be fine, see http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/yoko..._GearChart.pdf

I just checked with an old 2013 motor mount I had floating around,
best I could get with what I had was 88T spur and 55T pinion, it just fit.
This will get him down to 3.2
This was without any grinding of the motor mount to get some more pinion clearance, so with a little massaging there is probably a few more teeth you could fit.
A 14/15 motor mount with greater clearance will not install on a 13 chassis.
