YOKOMO Touring Car BD-7
#6693
I may consider Xray on my Tamiya 419 but also looking towards the Yokomo set as Yokomo springs are usually used on the setup sheets out there. But a fair amount of racers are using either Xray or Yokomo on Tamiya cars.
Curious to hear for carpet racing if it is better for Xray shocks as I am considering the BD7 2016 as my Tamiya is hard to get right on the carpet.

Is there some comparison for all the Short Springs by Yokomo in gF/mm figures?
I am not sure if the color coding is the same as the list here for the long springs:
Yokomo (Pro shock spring long type with color marking at the bottom)

Xray Shocks? Don't you have like the same thing in a Yokomo shock as one of the 2 best out there?

My question:
Any one tried Xray T4 shocks on BD7'16?

Just received the 2016 conversion and have bolted it all together, just a few more things to do. Great kit, it makes the car feel so much more compact than the '15.
Quick mention of a mistake I made and, for some reason, it took me a while to track...it was late though lol. The lower shock eyelets of the '16 have different parts for the front and rear. The front are shorter and have a little dot molded in, whereas the rear are longer. I got one of each at both ends and couldn't work out why the car had mega tweak! I instructions show this...but who reads instructions
My conversion kit didn't come with the lowered part that connects the steering to the top deck. I was expecting it to be in there as the main picture on the various sites that show the conversion kit laid out, show it as being included, was mine just missing?
Thanks

Could somebody compare between BD7 2014 and 2016 on carpet track, please?

In a nutshell, the 2016, corners more predictably and carries more corner speed. Between the lower CG of the '16 and the x braces carried over from the '15 and the slight changes to the '16 Aluminum chassis you get a car that Accelerates and corners quicker and is easier to drive.

But i still want to know 2014 vs 2016, since 2014 with alu deck is easy drive car on carpet.
Thanks.

2016 car I s still better than 2014. Biggest changes are the lower and bigger bore shocks which is what I think makes the car handle so differently.
