i run a 4.13 on low bite on a 90x48 track smaller I would go higher like 4.20

if the bite comes up go up a tooth or 2.... but that's a good start for full timing on most motors.

What is overlooked is the tolerances in the manufacturing process.. in this part especially when 1* toe is achieved with a .5mm shim.. a difference of .05mm anywhere in the mounting (approx half the thickness of a sheet of paper) can yield .1* in rear toe difference side to side .. compound this with 2 separate mounting points (f/r) and it can become a significant issue... Glad we could assist...

If you want to remove some of the slop, try wrapping some plumbers PTFE tape around the ball joint then snap the rod end onto it.

Helped on mine.

I've tried using the PTFE" and Saran Wrap but it did not last long. Only last around 3 battery.

I'll try o-ring and report back

I recently rebuilt my XRay after the end of the season and wanted to share a solution I came up with to make the battery fit better.

I use the Orion Carbon Pro 90c 5000mah pack and I didn't like how there was side-to-side play with the stock holder. What I did was measure the amount of space between the inner 30g weight and the battery. I then cut a strip of lead weights to that length and sho-goo'd the lead in place. This now provides a very snug fit for the batteries and puts about 6g of weight additionally in center-line of the chassis.

I used fuel line tubing and placed it on my L Bracket and it works well.

Default Front Arms Rubbing on Wheels

Hi all,

Just finished putting together my 2012. Just getting the kinks out. One issue I am having is that when I turn the wheel the front arms are rubbing on the inner of the wheels/rims just slightly at speed. FYI the wheels I am using are ones i had on my old 007 which are at least 4 years old as I have not bought any new tires/wheels yet.
Is this an issue specific to older rims/wheels? or do I need to file down a bit on the front arms.

Thanks in advance
Ken

Are they foam? if so, they are wider than the rubber tires we run today, if not, it's possible the brand tire you has is on a wider rim than standard. Adding a shim at the wheel hex is the easiest fix.

They ARE rubber, added a few shims and still does it. Heres a quick video i put up to share. Hoping its the old wheels like i said they are about 4 years old RP brand. ANyone able to measure the inside diameter of your rims i just checked these ones and coming up with about 44.34 mm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Qm...e_gdata_player
