So that you don't have to waste your time looking for the other thread, Mike is correct in what he wrote.

2 questions... Is anyone cutting the outer servo mount off their chassis? Anyone tried the 1.6 top deck with the stock chassis, how much flex increase?

Yeah on the nub. Car is better through the sweeper without it. I really hope the new servo mount gets released soon.

I really like my car with the 2.0/1.6 combo on carpet in all traction levels I've encountered so far. (Low to medium-high.) With that combo, when bite comes up, new tires seem to be the right choice. Once they wear in and pick up grip, the car is stuck in the mud. I'm not sure if it's the right combo for 17.5, but in 13.5 my car was incredible at our "big" race a few weeks ago. The driver was something far less than incredible outside of practice.

I picked up about 500.00 in extra carbon arms, servo mounts and 1.6 top decks while in Poland for guys that emailed me. The servo mount and carbon arms should be in at RCAmerica in their next order. They were in the middle of running their first batch of them at Xray the week before the Poland race.

Sorry no one backed out. I already sent everything when I came home.

Be prepared though. The carbon arms are expensive!

No they are still testing them. I got a couple of sets to bring home to test. I am going to try running them this weekend.

I guess you could say that the set of carbon arms, servo mount and 2 pair of springs cost 973.00! (Cost of my flight to Poland!) Brings a whole new meaning to the cost of an Xray!

Default New servo mount vs servo tape!!

Hi,

What is the best option for mounting the servo, is it sticking it down with servo tape and removing the posts altogether or using the new xray servo mount which removes the outer mount and also raises it slightly? Will you notice any benefits from removing a servo post when racing?
