Hey,

Wer'e running a 540 spec class at my local track (silver can motor + 3000 stick pack) and I'd like a second class to run (i only run Mini Cooper there currently) I'd like to run the car box stock (completely box stock: dogbones, plastic shocks and all) Does anyone have any build tips to help me out?

Thanks
-Dan

Build it exactly to manual specs. It was near perfect.

Another couple questions:

Where can I get the best deal online on a new TA05 kit?

If I have a choice, which body availible with the Ta05 kits (ferarri, supra, mercedes, nsx....) is the best on track performer?

Can't go pass [email protected]

Not sure about the best handling stock body but I like the F430 slick lines.

I don't think they make a Corvette kit , but that body does handle very well..........

I think you will find the NSX is the best performing body aerodynamically on the track.

Default Alum rear upright

Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading my TA05 rear uprights with the alum ones..
I notice there are 3 kinds of alum rear upright made by Tamiya AFAIK,
53687 TB Evo3 Alum Rear Upright 1 deg
53784 Evo IV Alum Rear Upright - 1degree
53804 Evo IV Alu rear Upright - 0deg

Which one still use 1150 bearings ?
I still use std suspension arm and want to use the same size 1150 bearing.

Thanks for the help ..

Pretty sure the EVO 4 don't use the 1150 bearings. Try the 3 racing version on www.ebay.com

Thanks for the info. But I'm after Tamiya product only.
So the one left is 53687 .... does it use 1150 bearing and fit into TA05 std arm (I assume this arm is the same as TA04 susp. arm) ??

yea the evo 3 share the same suspension as ta-04 and ta 05 as well as tb-02.

Just got the new PROTOTYPE Penguin RC Chassis for the '05. As soon as i take soem pix, ill post. Its probably the best looking carbon fiber conversion in my opinion. Ill post pix tonight. Its pretty close to production now, just gotta test it out on the track and see if the upper deck needs to be 2.5 mm or just 2mm. The build display car looks killer!
