diff case grease
I recently got a slightly used SD and when I opened the diff cases there was some light grease all over the place. Is this normal? I looked through the manual and couldn't find anywhere it says to grease the gears once the diff is built. I was just checking what the purpose would be.

The grease probably came from the diffs. The person might have built the diffs with a little too much diff grase. It will sling off onto the diff case cover.

So should I clean it out, or leave it alone?

just clean it the next time u build your diff....
in a japanese mag i browse through, they apply some diff lube to the gears...so its normal the lube will be all over inside the diff case when u run the car..

Are you looking for a rubber tire or foam tire carpet setup? I have one for use with CS-27 tires.

The Drive Train
I have heard and seen that thet Yokomo MR4TC SD Drivetrain can be freed so much that you can spin the wheels and they can spin forever almost of course without the motor installed. How do you get it to be that free? I heard of removing the shims from the inside of the diff case. Is that correct? Or do you move the shims from the front of the bearing to the rear? HELP. Took my car apart and want to do this correctly. Thanks.
