Worth a try! See if it works for you and your track - I think a slightly longer screw would be worth fitting if you use two spacers though.

I use the cut off, then a sanding drum to get it closer, then sand it to perfection.

Default diff case grease

I recently got a slightly used SD and when I opened the diff cases there was some light grease all over the place. Is this normal? I looked through the manual and couldn't find anywhere it says to grease the gears once the diff is built. I was just checking what the purpose would be.

The grease probably came from the diffs. The person might have built the diffs with a little too much diff grase. It will sling off onto the diff case cover.

So should I clean it out, or leave it alone?

just clean it the next time u build your diff....
in a japanese mag i browse through, they apply some diff lube to the gears...so its normal the lube will be all over inside the diff case when u run the car..

Default Carpet Setup??

I know it is a little out of season, but I have the itch to run on ozite. I need to know if anyone has a setup for 19 turn or mod as a base point. This will be the first time I am running the SD on carpet. Thanks for the help.

Actually I used Associated Green Slime to lube the gears. You dont really need to apply anything, but it's just like adding lubrication to anything else, it should make it last a little longer, and keep temps down (not that the gears would get hot enough to get any damage)

Are you looking for a rubber tire or foam tire carpet setup? I have one for use with CS-27 tires.

Schuemacher had a great chart on his website, but it's no longer up. It was posted here:

Default The Drive Train

I have heard and seen that thet Yokomo MR4TC SD Drivetrain can be freed so much that you can spin the wheels and they can spin forever almost of course without the motor installed. How do you get it to be that free? I heard of removing the shims from the inside of the diff case. Is that correct? Or do you move the shims from the front of the bearing to the rear? HELP. Took my car apart and want to do this correctly. Thanks.
