For me at least, I personally prefer to have the commonly broken items on hand versus hoping its on the wall. And usually the LHS doesn't carry the one off item that breaks anyway.
Not saying don't support your LHS, but, its not a bad idea to have the part on hand, and, excellent idea to have a vehicle that doesn't need them frequently.

touring cars have different requirements than buggies. Just because another company does one thing doesn't mean I'm gonna blindly follow suit. It'd have to be proven that it in fact produces a performance advantage before I add any of those features.
from a reliability standpoint those things look sketchy.

Torrance, since you are on here I have a question. Do you feel you gave up performance to gain durability? Obviously you felt the trade off was worth it but I was just curious if you would have designed things a little differently if the current crop of cars didn't have a problem finishing races.

I would love to see a preorder button and a price.

I think if wheelers were more durable the class would pick up again. I went to phx and ran at a local track (2wd), but there was a class of wheelers there, about 5 guys. At most, 1-2 guys actually finished each race. I think in the main, there was 1 guy not broke. That kind of racing is no fun. This car looks pretty solid, so maybe it will help bring the class back. I am sure pricing will be a big part of it. If it has kyosho pricing, then most people wont bother.

Yellow one driven by Malin with a 7.5T (the other with a 5.5T) practicing for a dirt track race.
The new wheelers of today can really take a beating.
We've been racing the XB4 since it first came out in January on indoor clay, outdoor dirt and astro.
Never have I had to change as few parts as on this buggy and I'm sure the new D413 will be just as strong

Ppl break bc they all think they need 6.5's. I race on a small indoor track where 17.5 and mod lap times are the same and some guys still go ruth they fastest thing they can squeeze in there.
If ROAR recognized a stock or super stock class that clubs could adopt it would pick ip.

On an indoor very tight track yes.....outdoors and on bigger tracks.....no way.
We race with 6.5T for high bite and 7.5T for low bite and don't go through anymore parts because of it
You just need to know how to keep the 4 round things pointing down
So in short.....pick the setup YOU can handle and you will enjoy it so much more

It's not about keeping the wheels down. I can snap a front B44.2 a-arm by just barely clipping a pipe - just touching it. On my 22, I can hit that stuff nearly full speed and normally be ok.
