Here's a little video of practice before racing on Wed night.

My truck, pinned,5kft/5kr, 2 garodiscs, stock slipper, well worn barcodes, cc3800/rx8, nanotech 6k.

I had no ballast in, due to just switching over to the rx8 and not having time to re-balance. Has a little over 5oz. in it before.

The track is real nice, hard packed, traction everywhere and little to no tire wear. That run was on 5 or so month old barcodes. I've raced those tires every week since the truck came out... Got some rebars waiting to get glued up though...

The kid w/ the durango has been nipping at my heels for a while. He works at the track so he gets a ton of time and advice from the local pros... He's doing well, but breaks alot.

Later that night he broke leading the main, I took 2nd that night, out of 8-9 trucks...

Mac, may I ask what the basket specifically does and how it preforms this?
Thanks!

From what I read/heard it gives you a third pad to run in which this creates more friction surface resulting in a more consistent slip. It also gives you a ton of tunability options. Can also reduce heat on the slipper on gear box area.

Thanks. So just having a piece of aluminum between 2 pads would not provide the same affect?

I really don't think there is anything to "address". I've never seen one break before. You can get 4 Ae cups and shock collars for under 5 bucks. # 91067
