I put some lead weights in the slots on the side and it made a difference so yea I'm sure it did make the truck feel a lot more planted.

The exotech chassis felt much different than the stock center piece, even with 4oz of weight added to it. The rear end is more planted, no washing out in the sweeper. I also did not have any tracton rolling issues anymore. I can now fly into the turns like the losi's can. I drove another racers losi, he said it was dialed, and I found that my sc10 felt very similar to his losi, except i had more steering, and my sc10 rear end was more locked in than his. I almost couldnt believe it. The chassis is SWEET!

on my stock chassis it made a difference. Now i'm pumped to get this chassis.

i am running yellow spring front and rear, and yellow sway in front and white sway in the rear. without the chassis, on a high traction track i had to run the 2mm swaybar in the rear to keep from traction rolling, that change would sacrifice rear grip. Not any longer

anyone have install instructions, tips/tricks, etc. for the fastlapproducts chassis brace? Tried e-mailing and scrubbing the web site, but no response. Just like to be certain before firing up the drill!

Thanks

Basically ur using the front hole from the body mount. after that is attached, mark the rear hole where the back end rod sits on the transmission. Drill away

I don't think it can't hurt any. 1/8 buggy's have aluminum chassis, and use a front, and rear brace

I won't hurt at all. I truly don't believe 100% of the flex is out of the chassis. But depending on the track, flex is 'good'. That's why I don't have any plans on purchasing a Exotech. Unbolting a Chassis brace for flex over removing that god awful chassis is so much better. It's a tuning option over a replaced part. (my opinion)

Bottom line is the chassis brace does it's job. The exo (if you don't care about wanting flex depending on the track) does two jobs. Weight and a bonus: eliminates most flex.

Looks like Billy at Fastlaps has the same product, for a higher price, and no service! Way to go Billy.

Did we ever figure out of the Novak will run the Tekin 4 pole or not? Yeah, yeah, yeah, Novak sucks and all their product blows up as soon as it's exposed to sunlight.

A novak esc will run the 4 pole motor, but not as efficiently as it would with a dual mode esc like the rx8 or mmp. The Novak esc's base the timing completely off the sensors which are reading at a minimum have 15 degrees of timing. Most guys are running less than 5 degrees in sensorless/dual mode as any more timing does nothing but add heat.

On the flip side I know of several guys that run the tekin pro4 motors attached to an orange esc and while their motor temps are 10-20 degrees above the norm, they seem to run ok for the most part.
