Im going to run it this weekend, but it already feels more balanced. Not to mention, a very long runtime....

HOLY MOTHER OF THERESA!!!

On a 1410 you can run all the qualifiers on a single pack!!!

How much was each shortie? I like this setup very, very much Sir!!

I was looking to run 1S2P cells, 5Ah super flat shorties as if they were saddles, but that 7.6Ah setup is completely overkill!!!

Jimmy: could you elaborate on the 'rear roll center issue'? Thanks

ok. rulux rims with aka tires equals under max width.
Rulux rims with jconcepts tires = over or right at.
these new rims must come out. but overall width(tire) must not move.
the akas are flat with the rim the jconcepts tires bulge 3mm....

Make sure you wire this configuration up parallel, not series. (unless you have a speedo that will do 4s)

Why do you ruin that uberawesome batt configuration using a Deans?

At 50A they start to struggle and heat up!

Move to 4mm bananas at least, this things push well over 80A without even heating!! Although I'd recommend 5.5/6mm, they can push well above 120A (it's what I'm gonna do when I switch to saddles, on the 25C straight 5.5mm is not needed because the batt can barely supply enough amps to heat them up).

8mm is awesome, but overkill imho. And bulky as hell. 180A is no problem for them.

Can't wait to try a saddlepack setup

I'm very interested on doing this kind of setup, because I refuse to add ballasts to the car, I'd rather use this weight on adding batteries, or useful stuff like that.

I'd rather not adding weight though
Dude. Just add the weight. Finnally got serious about tuning my sc10 and we ended up doing the 5mm shims on front upper suspension links, about 5-6 Oz of weight ( I am running smaller 3.3AH LIpo's) and we unscrewed the rear shock ends about 3-4 turns. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I am running stock oil with white springs.

I will add that I had lots of problems with the stock plastic servo arm getting stripped from my bashing and I found a losi comp crawler alum servo arm that will fit. you have to drill/tap the arm since its standard and the 6mm ball that came with the sc10 is 3mm thread.

Wow nice setup! I think I would rather do that than run saddle packs, but that's the expensive way to do it!

Deans are fine. Their ratings are 60A continuous . I have yet to hurt any Deans or TRX connectors using many different motor/cell combinations in 2wd or 4wd SC or with any of my 1/8 scale stuff. We're not out there putting that much continuous load on them.

I've never had any issues at all with Deans connectors, and I perfer them over other connectors.

Agreed. The only difference between this set up and a regular stick pack is Milliamp Hours.
