I've had bad luck with ball diffs so far. Are they reliable for higher power setups?

Whats the difference in running the B44 rear arms to the regular B4 rear arms?

b44 arms are stiffer, they are somewhere between b4.1 and b4 carbon.

I'm gonna try that ratio today and see if I feel a difference.
I had a 81 tooth spur in my pit box, and I did find a 23 tooth pinion as well.
Just now switched them out.
I'm hoping it will be even faster.
Who doesnt like doing speed runs in an empty parking lot.
Next thing im getting for the car is some decent street tires.
Might as well enjoy the car before I start jumping it and breaking A-arms...lol

I always wondered the same thing, as far as I could they were identical. Aren't they now using the same plastic on all the .1 cars?

Then the B44.1 arm (Medium)
Then the carbon arm is the stiffest.

Try using the SC10 4x4 internals (91007) inside your diff. They should hold up to the power better!

Anyone running a Novak GTB2 esc on their buggy. Plan on using a 8.5T motor so I figured I wouldn't need any advanced timing like the Tekin RS has. What do you think? Also who makes wheels for the 12mm hex conversion?

I ran one . Good deal for $99 . BUT , I would not recommend it for buggy racing . For bashing sure . It is just not smooth enough for me to race with . I have a LRP though . Super smooth . I am not the best driver yet , so I need a smooth set up . Only had a buggy for about a Month . When I had the Novak ESC's in my buggy , I would loop out in the corners . I tried the GTB2 and a Havoc Pro . They also do not fit very well in the buggy . They also had some heat issues when I ran my 8.5 turn motor with them . Could have been gearing related though .

So , IMHO , no for racing . Ok for bashing .

Thanks for the help. I took my B4 to an empty parking lot for some speed runs.
After 25 mins or so it didnt thermal so I guess im good to go.
If you want a good gear ratio for an 8.5 people look no further. 23/81 is good.
I had to cut the shell some to fit my XBR esc in the car.
It's close to the same size as the Havok esc.

I'm using the vented hubs in 13.5 and work well, but would be better suited for mod. They look cool anyway.

What bad luck are you having?

My diff has last as long as I built my kit which was in march, still super smooth

Is 14 gauge good enough to connect from the motor to the esc? Also is it okay to have 13 gauge on two of the motor tabs and 14 on the last one?

I do, it works great, no heat issues whatsoever and it fits fine.
