Its a 3600kv 4 pole cordova or c.r. motor. We sell them in the shop, local guy makes them, he used to be affiliated with neu motors. Its not sensored and it is still smooth.

This might sound like a dumb question, but are DE racing wheels for this vehicle a different off-set than stock. I don't have a stock wheel to compare.

Reason i ask is that i measured my width in the rear of my truck with the recent talk of wider wheels. Mine came out to about 284 mm with DE wheels and proline 2.0 suburbs, which is 1mm within roar spec.
I know the 2.0 proline tires are a tad wider.

296mm is the max ROAR width...what's the problem?

Eli, DE racing wheels are still far from ROAR's limit. JConcepts' wheels on the other hand put the SC10 4x4 right up to the maximum with stock hexes. Longer hexes may drop it away from the legality.

With stock wheels you get a 282mm overall width, so you still have a pretty big margin aswell. Are the DE Trinidad just a mm further out than stockers? I thought they would be further out.

Oops yes you are correct. Maybe Eli mis-red his measurement or the chemo therapy effects are still hindering his memory a bit.
Eli will have to double check but wont be able to do so til' later on.
Reason for the question is i wanted to inform people so they were not over limit.
Eli is new to this class, please excuse him. LOL.

if the car sits at 282mm of width with stock rims and the roar legal limit is 296mm, then there should be an extra 14mm of total back spacing allowd in the rims?? so from 32mm of backspacing in the rim all the way to 25mm of backsacing is within roar rules?? That does seem right, could someone correct me?

OK, so I've been racing nitro for the past 7ish years and just now getting into electric... Being new to electric is the Tekin RX8 too much ESC for this 1/10 truck? I just didn't know if an 1/8 ESC would fit in a 1/10 truck chassis and still have enough room... I have ordered the SC10 4x4 now just trying to decide on the eletronics:

1) Tekin RX8
2) Motor - Undecided, but possibly the Tekin SC4X 550 (6.5T)

One more Question, will the RX8 run on a 2S LiPo pack without any problems, or does it require a 3-4 or even 5-6S pack?

Again any help would be awsome, and this may already have been answered in another area of RCTech. I just figured that since this is the SC10 4x4 thread that you guys could give me more defined and specific information... Thanks!!

I run 8 scale primarily and I'm running the rx8 with the scx4 5.5 and it's plenty fast. I'm running 62/16 and the motor and esc come off around 105-110. I did run this at night when it was cooler out but I don't think it would go up to much. I'm running on 2s with the current limit at like 80. If u go to tekin website there is a setup for the sc10 with a 4.5 motor and just go from there. Another guy at the track runs a Lrp sxx tc version 2 and it's alot smaller and he has had no issues. Hope that helps.

How big is your track?

stick with a 5.5 or a 4.5

rx8 is fine with 2s and is fine in a sc104x4
