I think you are on to something by adding all that weight. I am running mine with a saddle pack conversion but have recently added about 4 oz of weight to the truck to start. I have a theory about why this truck is so loose compared to the Losi which is just dead stable.

I believe the truck is just too light. This would not be a problem if the bodies were lightweight, but unfortunately they are not. Therefore, the relative CG of the truck is much higher than the heavier trucks with a body installed. Due to the lightweight of the truck, the truck has to be sprung softly to generate grip, and this makes the truck dump the suspension in hard corners forcing people to "drive it like a 2wd". If the truck is sprung harder, then it just lacks the necessary traction overall.

I will experiment this weekend with a heavier truck and will add more weight and spring the truck harder until I get a more stable and easy to drive truck. This truck is 4WD and it should not have to be driven like a 2WD.

Personally, I still have not had trouble with the stock slipper, but I am sure that with the heavier vehicle, the clutch basket will be a must, so keep that in mind.

ok so I spent the day at the track today...truck ran great but....I am having an issue keeping my pinion from not spinning inward towards the motor. I also am having an issue with the dog bones. Has anyone bent any front dogbones?

Yes I have bent mine. Check your A-arm, it will most likely be bent as well. A good way to check it to look at them from the back under the car.

Sounds about right, but you may want to ask it in the wcrc thread on here

I had a ton of traction with the added weight on the left side. Truck is very predictable now, however, I'm going to use the hard sway bars an see how that works. Just need the truck to settle down and reduce the body roll.

Okay. What in the %&#! is the deal. I have read over this forum, done the Spacer idea. Ran a 540 can motor... Ugh. Lemme just list this.

540 1410 Castle
- THREE Washer spacers, barely got up and went, screamed like a dying animal till the disks warmed up and still wasn't 'great'.
- 540 works *GREAT* in my Slash 4x4

550 1415 Castle
- bought a brand new Slipper system. Thrust bearing, washers, spring, cap, nut. etc. tightened everything up, slowly all.... the... way... down to a completely compressed spring and STILL absolutely no acceleration.
- 550 works *GREAT* in my Slash 4x4.

I've tested the motors and ESC possible suggestions by switching vehicles. *It is not the motor or ESC*

This thing spins for TEN PLUS FEET before it will go. I've fought with this for months. And honestly, i'm getting very tired of it. I understand this stupid basket thing solves that, but I find that rediculous honestly. (no offense)

Is there anything i'm missing? Brand new pads, I chopped and roughed up. new disks, scratched those up now too out of desperation. Motor is iiiiiice cold, Slipper disk is on fire.
