Are you running any washers to help compress the slipper spring? If not, I'll wager that you aren't getting full compression before the slipper nut/hat washer bottom out on the flange at the end of the threads.

I totally thought this was bogus too, becuase it really looks like the spring is fully compressed, but after putting 2 1/4" washers between my spring and the slipper hub, I'm not having ANY slipper issues... I've gone about 100 minutes at race pace and I'm not seeing any fading. I pulled my slipper apart about half way through that, and it was looking really good! (And I run the 19T overdrive pully too. I haven't noticed excessive ballooning up front.)

Yeah, I think we all knew that but I know that I couldnt wait so now I'm just adding certain FT hop-up's as they hit the shelves.

30KF/5KR works like a champ!
wanna try 40KF/7KR. I think that would be perfect for my driving style!

You gotta find what works for you. I would start with thicker front, 20-30K and see how that feels. I think you will like it IMO.

OOpps. Yes fiber not carbon as in "carbon fiber"

The chassis are actually made of glass filled Nylon.

RTRs sell....and honestly, I would love to see one of these on the track...compare my build/tweak to the "factory" settings...

But guess what! The shocks are going to fall apart and the diffs are going to barely have any oil in them anyway....just like we had to deal with... anyone buying this is going to have a harder time fixing those problems!

Gotta say though, Amain was johnny-on-the-spot with this one... I don't recall seeing that on RC10.com at 10am this morning.....

wait wait wait... is that really a 550 4-pole? CRAP! That thing is going to H A U L ! my 4000kv 550 2-pole is sweet enough....this is going to be too much for most tracks if I'm reading that right!

cant see the reason of buying an rtr other than to dump money into it to bring it up to running standards...mamba sc sidewinder esc...smoked the one i had in my blitz,i dont think its strong enough for a 4x4....they sent me a new one but i dont think i will put it back in the truck, put a pro in it instead...

I think the funnest part of getting a kit is building it. Just felt special cuzz the SC10 4x4 wasnt a rtr. Now people are gonna get them break them then ask the vets for help.. Well im not really a 4x4 vet yet but you get my drift.. on a different note there gonna break them and maybe sell them cheap..

I hope AE looked at the first page of this thread for build tips. Empty diffs and loose shock piston screws will disappoint a RTR guy.
